We don't stop 'til we fall off

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 19, 2011

You have no need to pull at my arms
and dangle carelessly the strings
you've crafted out of dance globes,
I've already found my reason for moving.

It isn't slavery or some kind of nature,
nor bondage restricted by chains,
I am the one in charge with this love.

I will suffer with you forever
because everyone else is up on their
own windmill, wondering what they
stepped in and how they gravitated
underneath these dusty notes.

We make them come alive again
and our cackles reverberate,
our days of demonic influence
are not close to hitting the sky,
we are still fray-less and rolling
above the sober, mechanical methane.

Author notes

just the dance mood I am in now, Gorillaz rock song "Feel Good" and rocking beat of their album "Demon Days"! Really brightens your tired and lazy state of mind! Very random poem, wrote it under two minutes, abstract and wild! Just for fun though!
