Consoled

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 28, 2011

You brought forth liquid to my heart,
melting the solid that had closed faith.
I knew you to always believe in tragedies
because they wandered into something
unforgettable, a blessing halfway blossomed.

I thank you for your son and your father,
with your family of three I learned humility
how to shake my pride and let loose of the lies.

You formed me as water and there I will return,
for it is pure at heart but thickening in mind,
I will be reminded that I am formed in your image
and I need to drop down again at your feet
in order to find my place, never losing your love.
