Calm

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 12, 2011

-

Don't fall into night,
rather share your burdens
to ease your overheated being.
Aching with interaction,
exhausted with stress imprints,
overwhelmed with words,
you dance a grand collapse
through the world's eclipse
and find no escape through dusk.

Relieve the day's movement
through uncovering your guard
and leaving the sun to clear
the stakes and road ahead-
so your vision is reminded
light doesn't have to blind-
if you let worries off,
you'll be surprised
how many clouds
will pick them up
off your gasping heart
- to let you live.
