Karma [For the Wicked]

by BlueEyedMystery   May 10, 2011

It seems karma never skips a visit.
I bet you're wishing for someone [anyone]
But you're alone.

In a coffee drenched dream,
I saw your face.
Lips of malice burned my eyes.

I never even got to say goodbye.
But I don't want it now.

Nicotine seams
In a sweater of thorns
I just wanted-
[To be warm.]

That's all I ever wanted.

I like the idea and wording of this piece. I am not sure I like the way it is put together however. It has little structure in the way of rhythm and rhyme. Though, I do like free flowing poetry, I tend to be partial to a more structured piece. Over all I liked it. It was very well said and I love the message. 4/5

^This was great, definitely caught my eye, very nicely written.

I thought you had a lovely poem here, 'coffee drenched dream' may not have been all that original but 'sweater of thorns' was a bit better. Great piece!

This is a very eloquent way of stating F you..and I love it :)

I love your title and the emphasis of your brackets! Karma indeed never skips a visit...it may take a while, but you get hit, hard.

I love the idea of a coffee drenched dream, because coffee makes me sleepy, so to me it definitely made sense! Lol

Nicotine seams in a sweater of thorns is such a sharp, stinky image, but a great one! I love the metaphors here and I love the descriptions. Very vivid and very striking. Another great job :)
