Misty Morning (Kwansaba )

by Lonely Rider   Jun 14, 2011

Kissed by a wisp of gentle breeze
spring flowers swoon in an elegant ballet,
echoes, the rhythm of a silent stream
flowing against pebbles, copper and white,
a warm sunlit charm wraps winter shivers,
as an amber glow fills misty milieu ,
unfolds a new morn, 'neath hopeful sky.

The Kwansaba is a non-rhyming form that consists of seven lines of seven words per line and each word can not include more than seven letters unless it's a proper noun. It's based on Kwanzaa, the African American holiday that celebrates seven principles

Even though the poem didn't have to rhyme, you still managed to pull off a melodious effect with your words. It must be the flow and the images that just dance off the screen. A very special nature poem this is.

This is a beautiful poem. I liked how you kept it short.

Bravo - excellant! I loved this work of yours and can only think that the reason more people have not left comments is because people may be stuck in another section unwilling to leave that comfort zone. Your work is excellant and I found it very well worded and I felt the emotion of each line. I did find the last sentence very fullfilling. thanks for your contribution.
