To The Ground.

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 23, 2011

He finds paradox in the grey, wounded walls,
Making himself at home, he rebuilds the stone.
He's just a target for the towers that say nothing;
Statues won't speak to him no matter how hard
he tries to bring them back to life.
Don't rely on plastic carvings.
Shove them away, bring them down
from the children's small, capable hands.
There's only one lasting figure here,
He is one who molds us into light.
The potter of Life always stands
even when false measures imitate
all his real glory, freeing the millions.
