There Is No Home For Abuse.

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 29, 2011

This plague that keeps suffocating you,
only survives on society's lack of faith.
If you bring your shadows out
and shine the sun on their masks,
their silhouettes will be caught/
imprisoned from years of
stealing your youth.

You have the courage to stand again.

Show the tower of scars from yesterday,
for wings will bring you up
and healing will be reached.

It is coming, to pick up the pieces.

Do not keep hiding in fear,
you won't be punished again
for exposing signs of violence
that destroy families-
brick by heart binding brick.

Once God reveals His place for you,
abuse will not follow,
for home provides a flame of safety
where shouts and curses cannot subside.
