All My Hard Work

by Stephanie   Aug 21, 2011

It's never enough is it?
All the hard work I've done?
Life is war
But despite my victories and conquests,
All you see are my defeats,
And that the war has not been won

Or is Life a game?
A competition?
A race?
But what if I'm tired of running?
What if I'm tired of running in place?

Stop comparing me to the other soldiers or runners
They are not in the same field as me
I am only human,
I get tired, overworked, lazy, and burned out

There is only so much one can do in a day,
And to accept me is all I have to say
