Sunflower

by Stephanie   Aug 21, 2011

She will rise,
High in the sky,
Like a sunflower
Her golden petals will kiss the clouds,
Up so high
And she'll shine so bright,
That even the Heavens
Can not match her glory

And God will smile down upon his garden of flowers,
Knowing that his sunflower has risen,
And finally shined

And just like her love for Him,
She will continue to rise,
Miles and miles about the ground of sandy silt,
That has come to harbor her seed
The silt of adversary,
Full of muck, grime, sin, failures, and insecurities

She will rise above all of that,
High in the sky,
Like the sunflower
Her golden petals will kiss the clouds,
Up so high
And she'll shine so bright,
That even the Heavens
Can not match her glory

And God will smile down upon his garden of flowers,
Knowing that his sunflower has risen,
And finally shined

She now has the strength to stand tall,
And that is what truly matters after all
