The Well

I hear myself breathing at night and it's
as though I keep a deep well inside of me,
so hollow and cold

Heavy breaths escape the cage with
warm tears that don't belong
where the sun never breaks, anyway

Now who heard my cry, I wonder...

    Nana, I'm speechless! This poem was so filled with emotion and really touched me... it's short but filled with so much meaning.. And I thought the last line, was an interesting ending... I like the 'pondering'ness to it.

    I loved it!!! Great job!!!
