Headstones Lovers and Lies

by PAUL HEWSON   Sep 29, 2011

Watch the world go by
All the lovers and there lies
A tarnished hand of greed
That bit the hand that feeds
Watch them walk in parks
Under cover of the dark
Breaking broken hearts
Dividing into half's
Watch them as they laugh
No thoughts of second chance
The diggers of the graves
The ones that take no blame

See them build the headstones
to bury unloved bones
etching names of spouses
who live in broken houses
watch them how they try
to cover up the lies
the diggers of the graves
the ones that have no shame
