Liquid Ash

A fire burns slowly
when set by your
own heart. I'm burning
my way out of your world,
I can't stand to
exist here anymore.

Crushed beneath your
dreams, my own thoughts
are toxic now...
Look at us, two
people sharing this mangled
soul--

but still the fire grows.

The day is finally here
when you no longer
own me. I can be the
person I was meant to be
before these flames
stole my identity, I can
let a million tears wash
away this insanity.

This love, my love
was nothing more then
an obsession over
a memory--

the fire is burning
blue making it very
clear to see the watery
depth inside of you..

the liquid ash I always knew.
