Tears-

by Poet on the Piano   Dec 29, 2011

Let them show you where you are,
let them make your molecules
fall apart
even if you must
fight the barrier to time.....
retrieve again the moment
you
s
a
n
k
the hourglass-
and predicted the end of your healing.

Let them, the citizens of your mirror,
S E E
that when you know you are powerless
you will have no more tears
to bleed through.
You will only have the stains of drunken
glass c u t t i n g you
in jagged heartbeats.

There will be no more reoccurring memories
to cover over, and no more
C h a s i n g
the personality
of who you were during the time
you fell in love with tears.

Very creative and original stanza. Cool format and nicely worded. Enjoyed this very much
