Sometimes I Forget

by The Queen   Jan 26, 2012

Here you come,
over again...

wafting,
twirling
in the twilight air

thrusting,
your way through
to flirt with my nose

-reminiscent
of rich, flavored
fields-

heaving beneath
the soaked Earth.

Caressing,
like a current
with no bearing
as I drawn
to the infinite.

-like an eagle,
hundreds of feet
up in the air-

Grateful for the cold
that touches me
in the morning,

for the warmth
as gentle
as a father
cradles a frightened child.

Sometimes we forget what appeals to our senses -the warmth and security-memories that surface as a reminder of the essence of life . Lovely imagery .

This was amazing ... how we forget about such beauty ...

    for the warmth
    as gentle
    as a father
    cradles a frightened child.

i really like the ending because warmth
can also be happiness and there no
safer warmer or happy place to be
then in fathers arms there hero.

    Very well written :-)
