In autumn

by Mortal Utopia   Apr 7, 2012

(inspired by 'in Just-' by e.e. cummings)

In -
autumn
when leafy yellow
makes the old man mellow
slurping his air-quota
till gas comes out

his other end

and maryandchris hold
their noses youthfully cold
Ewing their way through
their nose-muted opera
the old man
sits

on his other end

and slurps it up up up
it's autumn
the
old man sighs
then maryandchris
sees TheirOldMan

Pa! and the old man Looks

TheirOldMan smiles
off they trod
far and wee
hand in hand away and free
A Dream Come True!
but not yet
for him

off they fly

and
the
old
Men
smile

the old man
stops slurping
and sighs
out-a-steamyburp
then off he flies
up up up

to me
it's meeeeee!
Pa.
