A pawn in your game

by aisyned   May 20, 2012

What you mean to me, I can't seem to convey.
You show pretty well, you don't give a damn.
I bend and I break, I plead and I cry,
You could care less, so why am I destined to try?
I've given my heart on numerous occasions,
but all you've done is add more abrasions.
Nothing is enough, you're never satisfied,
if only you could add up all the nights I have cried.
I give and I give while you simply just take,
If only you knew all that's at stake.
My walls are slowly building, locking my heart in a vault plagued with ice,
For I can no longer be a slave enticed.
Your gaze is alluring, your words are sweet poison,
You're a drug that runs deep, but this time i've overdosed.
I'm killing myself, with only your sweet memory.
Your face alone, brings my breathing to a slow,
My dreams of you, brings my life to a close, wrapped in your arms and tied with a pretty bow.
