Be still and know that I Am, a poem.

Be still and know that I Am, a poem.

As the sun was waning, growing dim, in my solitude
I think of him.
Though he is invisible, his creation I do share,
his handiwork I see everywhere.
It is a beautiful world to behold, too bad its growing old.
I love you Lord, this you know, where you lead,
there I will go.
As I listen for your voice, sometimes a whisper I hear,
things from the Spirit, not heard by the ear.
It is a still small voice, not loud, your Prophet heard,
not from the whirlwind from the cloud.
Softly and tenderly he speaks to me, revealing things
the eye cannot see.
When I am still, I am sound, in me your Holy Spirit
is found.
In your presence anxiety is not found in me,
with my spiritual eyes, only you I see.
In my stillness and meditation it is Jesus I see,
back in the Garden alone, just him and me.
It is evening and sunset is nigh, I hear him coming, my heart does sigh. Then I realized, it was in my spirit I did see, the communion between you and me.
His voice still remains in my mind, "I will never leave
you, even until the end of time".
There are many mansions in my Father's house I have gone to prepare, new heavens and earth we both will share.
I love you Abba, my Father and Jesus my Lord above,
thank you Holy Spirit for the gift of God's love.
