We'll Just Be Friends

by Love Fallacy   Oct 27, 2012

What is love, that dirty lie
It never tells the truth
I always sit and wait alone
Hoping to be with you

Blackness always, as tears fall
I wish for someone's hand
Living for another's soul
Our future written in sand

Brushed away so easily
This feeling never lasts
Salted beads upon my face
Your love it moves so fast

Impossible to keep its pace
I'll never reach the end
I guess our love a placebo
She'll just be my friend

Good write, I can totally relate it so much pain involves in loving a friend especially when you are not sure of their love for you. I love this poem because it's so touching and makes me rethink things I should've said to my friend. EP

Really captures the friend-zone feeling. you can tell their affections are somewhere, you just cant ever be there at the right time no matter how quickly you get there. very touching.

Awww... this is so heart-touching.... You created a subtle yet sad atmosphere because you were talking about your fate of love and added some beautiful images around... You are a good writer...
    Great piece:)

Good piece, I found this piece a bit sad because it seems like your love will always be there but this person despite everything will be your friend so in a way that's good. A bit sad for you but if you look at it the other way, you still get to talk to this someone. Sigh...

as far as the poem, I think you are trying to write with rhymes but I feel that this piece doesn't focus much on them.

EDIT: Yeah, actually this poem does focus on rhymes, I just noticed that you have rhymes in each stanza.. also Pace rhymes with face. and There are a few others,. that may not have been intentional.

However, I did like the part where it mention about sand because that's what it does. . . it gets brushed again with the wind or with the water.. :(
