LONGING FOR YOU

I remember when we met
Alone at my house
Staring in the stars
And kissing on the couch**

Your smile is what I fell for
Your eyes had a spark
But as you walked away
On my heart you left a mark**

Now as if I can’t breathe
I have no strength to let you go
My life is ending slowly
And now you’ll never know**

I got in my car to get away for you
Tears rolling down my face
The road more slippery than ever
My life a big disgrace
You told me you didn’t love me
You can’t deal with ‘us’
More things happening now
But you told me to have trust
I coudltn’ believe my ears
We were to be wed
I love you more than life
Is all that I could have said

I didn’t see it coming
The crash and the pain
My own blood is all around me
Your face I won’t see again
My body drift s away
I feel so at home
N one here to hurt me
No longer am I alone

I look down upon you
There I see knife
Your lifeless body on the ground
I knew then you took your life

There lies a note
I scanned down to the end
Tears flooded my face
Your heart did never mend

You said you had let go
Because you were going away
Over seas to fight the war
You were leaving later that day

It said how much you loved me
how much it hurt to see me cry
You couldn’t live without me
Never wanted to say good bye

Your blood turning black
I turn so I couldn’t see
All of this is over
Because you died for me*

I died because of you
You took your life for me
Our love is lost in the sky
Longing for eternity**
