Purpose of Creating Hands [Tanka]

by Khalid M Darwish   Mar 8, 2013

Hands are created
to work in the present life,
performing their role
If it's not obedience
It can be so many sins

Hmm, really gets the reader thinking about the sins and obedient things they have done. I actually looked at my hands after this.
First thing to pop into my head for obedience was a man working, a person holding a child, someone off at war
Sins: someone off at war.. Doing as told yet taking lives.

    I love it

Great tanka Khalid and a clever subject, we can not only do so much, we can say so much with our hands. I think you make this point very well.
