What's Your Worst Fear?

by schmetterling   Jun 27, 2013

What's your worst fear?
What scares you the most?
Bugs, roller coasters, extreme weather?
If only those scared me the most.
My worst fear is myself.
I am scared every single day,
That I'll let it win,
That I will do something horrible to myself.
I am so afraid,
Of the death that lurks inside me,
Trying to grip my neck,
And choke me till my lungs give up.
I am scared that one day,
I won't be able to do it,
That I'll give into the voices.
I'm terrified of ropes, pills, and knives.
Because I KNOW the damage I can do with them.
I'm afraid that one day,
If I'm near one,
I'll take it to my breakable body,
And I won't exist anymore.
I'm not scared of death,
I willingly accept it,
But I'm scared that one day,
I will be the one that commits murder to myself.
I'm scared of myself the most,
Not anything else.

Amazing poem, so true to us self harmers and suicidal people. This poem actually describes my life, in fact I actually said to someone awhile ago when they were talking about they're worst fear (thunder storms) that it was better then my fear (that I would kill myself)

All in all it's an amazing poem 5/5

Deep down inside we are all afraid of ourselves. Our decisions, our motives. There's no one on this Earth who can say honestly they weren't afraid of their own actions at one point in their life.

    Fantastic write. I love it.
