Meeting Sally

by Mortal Utopia   Jul 11, 2013

'Sally... she died,' my daughter, Lily, whispered as the movie ended.
She wept.

Once upon a time, there lived Sally,
A little girl from a small, box-shaped world called Television.
But yet, in that small, small world, Sally smiled and cried -
Just like you and me.

And three-year-old Lily loved her.

One day,
A child walked in - somewhat awkwardly, painfully.
Lily told me it was Sally and

She closed her eyes,
Smiled and slept in this small, box-shaped world -
This hospital ward.

Then she ran and ran and ran in dreamscape,
Hand in hand,
With little Sally.

    So sad.
So beautiful. How you described the hospital...the television...it's too good.
    Nice.
    Stay strong and fine.

I really liked the story here. The description and structure were unique. I feel it's about an imaginary friend so many can relate.
