The One

Find the one that makes you laugh
when they barely even try
the one you'd give your last breath
if given the choice to die

The one that makes your stomach burn
and chills run down your spine
Daydream of them when your alone
to help to pass the time

You can always talk to them
when your embarrassed or afraid
You thank the gods up in the sky
for this person they have made

You'd cry a river if they were gone
and drown below your tears
Confide in them your deepest thoughts
and share your darkest fears

And in the end you'll both grow old
experiencing life together
Knowing that their the one
that you'll love forever

    It is a really nice poem, I believe everyone above caught the errors they saw. I felt that the final stanza could have been a little better, it doesn't seem to end right.

    "You can always to talk to them"

    ^^^^ the "to" before "talk" should be taken out and I agree with the other, watch those. They're always tricky.

    I love rhyming poems and yours flow so well and I love it really. Definitely interesting.

    I like the who message. Finding that one person that does all of that to you and you know you're in love. The title captures that very well. Everyone sees "The One" as someone who makes them complete and does all of the things you stated so it works really well.

    Very easy to relate to. I've found someone who does all of these things and when you have that person, the words speak so much louder.

    Nicely written.
