Dysania

by LoneWolf   Dec 24, 2013

I awoke this morning to a beeping nuisance to humanity known as my alarm

I was unable to move due to a strange force that kept me in place

"I must get to class," I said. But I just couldn't aggregate the ability to care

Great brevity here, it worked so well as you got the message across, one that is probably relatable to many of us. I know I've gone through the point last semester where one day or one week I wouldn't care... I knew I could get up, be on time, but I chose to do nothing. Trust me, I'm a pretty stubborn person in the morning! Didn't know there was an actual name, dysania, for a person having a hard time getting up so that was interesting as the title. I think it is about getting motivated and wanting to take control to start the day, otherwise the day can be wasted or we can realize it wasn't worth it to sleep in, that we weren't that tired. At least that's how it is for me lol.

    Keep writing!

This poem madr me smile and I loved the power you held in these lines. This person is lying in bed not wanting to care about anything. I know this feeling well. I think a lot of people can relate to this so thats why I love it more. I'm very fond of short poems and I believe you did great with it. Well done
