Farewell to Melesa Cole

by Amezzy Kelly   Feb 16, 2014

Melesa Cole is only
But twelve
Lost her parents in
The cold hands of death

"Oh! How i wish
They were still here,
Like the age of gold,
To show their Care"
These was all her
Mouth could hold

She gives the best of
What's on her mind
And no one knows all
The pain that is behind

If only you could look
Beyond her smiles,
You will know why the
Endless tears in her eyes

Behind the closed door,
She stream in tears
Alone in her world
No one seem to care

I can't go on
I can't continue in this fear
Writing my suicide note
I want to end the tears

I want to leave this
World
It is so full of pain
I need a place where
My tears won't rain

Held in her hand
Is the silver knife
She will use
To end her life...

A meaningful piece with a powerful message. People can get to a part of life with no return others are stronger, we can't know how strong we are until we reach that point.

This poem is really sad. I am not sure how to even begin to comment on this without it coming out depressing. :(

Powerful poem, the girl loved her parents so much that when they died she lost her reason to live, she got stuck with depression and can no longer feel happiness, she was sick of living a life of pain so she decided to just end her life to end all the hurt shes feeling inside.. sad story

I understand the poem I've been to that point in my life but I didn't lose my parents I lost my love she died and I was dead inside I just didn't want to deal with the freaking pain anymore I looked at the knife always I never cutted anymore though I'm sure it would've freaking helped with the emotional pain but I didn't and anyways I know the pain in the poem good job and I know that there is hope in the world may not seem like it at times but it's true there is hope :)
