Raindrops

by Mortal Utopia   Jul 18, 2014

How are you? My wise, unmoving friend.
You, whose leaves today hold - carefully -
The raindrops from yesterday.

Do you still remember what she told me?
That raindrops are tears people have held back,
Finally pouring down: their joy, pain and dreams
Enshrined within.

When tears reach the ground and splatter,
I wonder if the treasures they hold also shatter...

How are you? My wise, silent friend.
You, whose leaves today hold - carefully -
Tears forever unseen.

Perhaps her tear is there too.
And inside that raindrop,
A small, faraway world she hid from all of us.

I once had a dream, where I stepped
Into her drop of rain
And found her smiling eternally, saying,

'Everything is alright now.'
