Sadness had the last word

by Dagmar Wilson   Apr 27, 2015

Waking up this morning
wasn't like any others,
my head was hurting with bags under my eyes.

I noticed the sun
making its way through the blinds,
my body however, remained cold.

I've been running this marathon
for most part of my life,
today it certainly took me by surprise.

The air was filled with an foreign scent
clouds hanging low,
trees were moving away from each other.

Bipolar had the last word.

The image here is one of loneliness partnered with a deep sadness and even the brightest day can make one's world blue...touching.
