A Friendship Lost

by nancy   May 27, 2015

Long ago, in the lonely place,
I saw a girl of my age.
She waved at me,
I waved at her,
she came closer to me
I came closer to her.
We shook hands
and she asked me,
"Will you be my friend?"
and I agreed at once;
we were together for a long time.
We talked and talked and talked,
but one day she left my hand
and drifted away from me.
I felt lonely, depressed, dejected
I felt friendless.
But another day we met again,
but as strangers, we hated each other.
But as time passed,
we came closer and became friends again.
But fate wanted something else;
a thing which tore me apart from her,
forever.......ever......
A new girl came into her life;
a girl, just as any other girl
but she separated my friend from me...
My friend started coming closer to her
but moved away from me.
Why that girl has to come?
Why has she to snatch my friend from me?
I just want to come closer to you,
my friend,
closer as we were before...
...closer still to our future...
Awaiting the return of
Our Friendship,
COME BACK...to me
MY FRIEND...once again...

    A very good piece of writing, especially considering your age. Keep it up.
