Whiteboard Poetry

by Lemon   Nov 20, 2015

I trace your veins like roads on a map
Your eyes are oceans
But I've never been the best swimmer
Instead I'll curl up in the hollow behind your ear
Where I'll be warm and undetectable
I'll weave myself into your hair
Or sit in the tiny groove of the scar above your lip
I just want to be close to you

I'll hide out of the way behind your retinas
And watch the world through your eyes
I promise I won't bother you
I need to be close to you,

That's all
