Kiss The Wind

by cassie hughes   Jan 10, 2016

Come run with me across this wild and stormy land so free,
and leave behind all memory of cages and of strife.
Cast off the past, let go the chains of duty, fly away
Into a new beginning, breathe the fresh air, see the light.

Your heart, it has been trammelled, held as hostage for so long.
The time has come to change your fate and loosen all those ties.
Let wind ruffle your feathers, let your throat be filled with song,
come soar above the sorrow, waving farewell to the lies.

Make life a thrilling journey to be cherished and enjoyed
set sight for the horizon, never spare a glance behind.
Join hands with me and race toward the future unafraid,
In tandem 'cross the ages all you wanted, we shall find
