The Dream of Completion

by IdTakeABulletForYou   Jun 10, 2016

There are certain beauties in every word you say:
-The light that overtakes the darkness, makes it go away.
-The violent reckoning that destroys all but the path to you.
-The hope I cling to that your word is the truth.

No one could expect a light to be so blinding but fixative;
Each passing second worth the pain, for before I didn't live.
Every moment I hold on I slip further toward my demise,
though just from contact I know your touch is the ultimate high.

In our finite existence, I beg you to be my moment of infinity;
A subtle happiness that, unwavering, never fails me.
My wants propel me into a territory I never knew:
No dream would ever be complete without waking up to you.

    Well thanks I dint know you felt that way (lol) joking aside I like this sweet side to you. It's a nice change to see a love poem from you and a beautiful one to say the least. I feel when you have that special someone that this is how it feels and even in our dark moments they'll help us through.

    All the best, Em

      Dang, that was impressively quick! No one is waking up next to me, unfortunately for me and fortunately for them! I just wrote this to add some variety to what has been, of late, a bunch of whiny poems. Glad you liked it, though. You're the one who has found love, and probably can relate to this poem more than me! Hah!
