The Dilemma

by Alex Penuelas   Mar 20, 2017

Sometimes it's the
people who are
meant to
love you the most
that b r e a k y o u.

There's only
so many times
that they can
tear you apart
before you are
Unwound.

Thus creates many fractal
remnants of yourself,
and you can't be
put back together.

Or, at least,
You won't fit together
The same.

You will feel like a
Broken wall that was
Refurbished;
Sure, you are
Back in one piece,
But there are many scars left
That need healing.

So do you
build a new you
and put a
wall around yourself
so no one can
ever hurt you again?

Or do you
prolong the pain,
hoping that the
People that hurt you
find all those pieces
and put you
back together?

    Alex,
this piece is amazing. I love the layout and the short but to the point stanzas.

I do believe we should leave the people who have hurt us in the past, and let new people come along..

Well done on an amazing piece.

Alex, I think this is one of your best pieces. I think it's 50% build walls around themselves and the next 50% wait for the people that hurt them to find all the pieces.

Personally I would centre this piece but o guess that's personal preference.

    Take care, Em

Nice work. I've often struggled with similar questions...
Pieces are never truly lost, nothing is ever destroyed.
Everything is repairable given the right tools, enough time, and the craftsman with the right talents.
Sometimes we just give up before we find all three.
