You Can't Stop The Flow

by CJ Maleney   Apr 6, 2017

I do not write poems or rhymes.
They write themselves!
The words will always be heard.
I am simply a tool by which they find a voice.

Should I die this day the words will simply flow through another, as they always do.
Their form and structure may change but they will find a way to be heard.

They have a power unlike any other. Words have changed opinions, they have changed lives and they have altered this world.

Fear, hurt, loss, love, desire, all emotion and experience caught up in the beautiful twisting, tumbling flow of words.

There will always be someone with a pen, pencil, computer or phone. Words turned into stories, poems, rhymes and mantras.

You can never stop the flow.

Absolutely right, Craig. This is excellently conveyed. We are simply conduits for the words which will be forged into something beautiful or ugly through you or I and if not us, they will come from others.
I like this idea. One of my quotes was something about words being all around us and all we had to do is 'pluck' them from the air. Whether we are here or not, the words are still there...they just need arranging in the right order.

This started out as a quote I was gonna post . (Just the first stanza).

But it just kept going and going. Words need to be free I guess.
