Earth's Tears (acrostic)

by CJ Maleney   Apr 21, 2017

Every day a new advancement of Man
Aspirations of engineers give way to reality
Real estate overcoming nature's beauty
The earth bleeds from the dreams of Man
Silently she weeps, of what will come to be.

Trees ripped from the ground and burned
Earth blackened, scorched nothing grows.
Air so thick with fumes you can't breath
Rivers so polluted nothing lives in them
Seas black with oil, oh how the earth weeps
