Life, society /
Here upon this shelf I sit
I've journeyed to a thousand places
So many pages still unwrit
I'm yearning to fill up these spaces
I've soared to heights above the ground
Witnessed things that stole my breath
I've gone so low I've kissed the ground
And longed for something more than death
My binding is so worn and cracked
My paper wearing thin
Though I've become an artifact
I have yet still more to spin
So welcome to my story
My penned insanity
Come explore my fantasies
Though my sheets are not eternal
We can forge a tale brand new
Insert your name here in my journal
Let's go, there's much to do!
For this novel is not finished
My conclusion not yet fixed
Though imperfect, undiminished
I still adventure here betwixt

wonderful piece Mandy! I am reading your poems and I don't like but LOVE most of it
Thank you for the comment, Karen! <3
Mandy, love this. The story of our lives hopefully is never ending. So many chapters to tell. I hope I get to read many more of yours-well done-
Thank you, Brenda! I definitely won't be able to not write :)
If you keep on filling the blank pages of novel with such good poems, I wish it takes some time for novel to complete.
More than happy to see it in nomination list.
Thank you! :D

This is so clever Mandy, I guess we all have blank pages still to fill with adventures. Love it!
