Cattery Shenanigans (a poetic challenge set by Michael)

Oh sweet little Pussykins
Come sit upon my knee
I'll give you all the love mum can't
While she suns in Italy

We'll while away the hours
You can dribble while I groom
And then I'll get the toy box out
Watch you prance around the room

Mum said to take this tablet Bob
Every day at about eight
So if you wouldn't mind just opening wide
We don't want to be late

You are not meant to spit it out
And the bite there was just rude
Maybe we'll try a different tack
Let's just mix it in your food

Now Milo here, he has the squits
It really smells quite foul
And Daisy, well now she's on heat
She's wailing, on the prowl

Mr Benny likes his food served warm
Then throws it straight back up
These kitty cats sure make a mess
Just call me Mrs Muck!

Little Meg here she's a baby
She likes to climb up me
Her claws, ouch ... they're just so sharp
If only she'd use the cat tree!

My Alfie-Poo is going home
I'll admit to a little tear
He's been here now for two whole months
And my love for him is dear

Now sit still for your photo Meg
Your mummy wants a pic
She's missing you from hot Peru
This treat will do the trick

I'll tell you one thing that's for sure
Fluff and poo don't mix
Scissors, baby wipes and a  brush
I've had practice, this I can fix

And what would sir like for his dinner?
A little salmon or maybe chicken?
Nothing here is too much trouble
I'll bring it, you get stuck in

And so another long day ends
A few more scratches, not with malice
Kitties warm and loved and fed
On their holidays at Pussy Palace.
