So many things still to discover
A lifetime of things to go wrong
I can't protect you from anything
The lessons of life must be learned

You'll discover the place where your heart lives
Only once it's awakened then smashed
There's nothing I can do to prevent it
No way I can spare you that crash

Remember it's not meant to be easy
Whoever said that told a lie
Life's about dancing regardless
Even whilst pain falls from the sky

The tough parts are what really make you
The sun shines much brighter because
You earned the right to enjoy it
You never just accepted what was

My arms are here for you always
