Special time, sad time

Such an inspiring and beautiful peice. With a slight sadness. While many are fortunate enough to have so much to be thankful for, we often take things for granted. While others have no place or nothing. Lovely peice.

I really like this poem. Because i unfortunately connect to it well. I believe in general this poem is talking about being homeless around the holiday season. I don't think people realize how difficult being homeless is. Anyway:

In the first line i think it would be better if you said "the" instead of "a"

Because you are talking about the time of year not a time of year. But maybe its just me.

I do like the title a lot though, because for a lot of people it is a special time, but also a sad time and you did well to explain both in your poem. Its about Thanksgiving and Christmas time. And the people who are homeless as i said.

I like how you made this into a senryu as well. Because you give the read a perspective of feeling sad. Well written.

Special time for many yet so many are homeless. A truthful write and also a reality check for the season.
