This is who I am

Workaholic, insane and crazy
Are some of the words used
On a daily basis, to describe me
From people who are confused

I get up and work two jobs
Barely sleep a wink
And often hit the bottle
Sipping more than the average drink

You’ll find wine in every cupboard
Close to every homely chair
Bottles stocked up in my room
You’ll see them everywhere

I fought long and hard
A battle I can’t seem to win
Maybe I don’t want to
Maybe it’s time to just give in

It’s taken me a long time to realise
This is who I am
I am admitting it to you
As loudly as I can

I’ll shout from the rooftops
With a bottle in my hand
