Tía Liva [part 1]

I know this poem
May not reach you,
But I just want you to know
That I miss you so much.

Life hasn't been the same
Since Wednesday night,
And how I wish that
You would have beaten your cancer
Like you have done before.

But at least I'm grateful to
Have seen you when you were
Still conscious, as you
Held my hand and told me
That you loved me.

I do love you, Tía 'Liva.

And i hope that wherever you are
That you are finally at peace.

I hope I make you proud.
