Can You See The World

by Gwenyth Hill   Jun 8, 2018

If I told you that I hated the world
I wonder what you’d say
Would you disagree with me?
Or think in the exact same way?

Yes, it’s a strong word
Not to be taken lightly
But it applies in this instance
So are you like me?

Can you see the world for what it is?
Nothing but a sham
How it’s breaking apart at the seams
They’re trying to fix it; none can

It’s becoming easier to see the decaying facades
That continue to surround us everyday
And like a bubble they suddenly ‘pop’
The ugly putridness of the world giving way

I too agree. This world is due for some new life. Well written. So very truthful.

Hmm I have to agree recently we are definitely due some renovations within the world there's too much hatred, too much drug and alcohol abuse etc etc etc but hey I cannot complain on that as I've been in the slums of alcohol abuse and left other people to pick up the pieces not caring for the heartache I make unfortunately but luckily I've turned a huge corner or 2 and have made amends to those I need to incase heaven forbid I die tomorrow all we can do is live our own lives trying our best to help out those in need passing on a smile or 2 although sometimes those smiles will go unnoticed but that smile could help some
    Take care

    Hi.
I agree, the world is overdue a makeover. The trouble is we are too self-centered to make the necessary changes.

    Well written, rhyming poem.
