The answer is simple

by Dagmar Wilson   May 15, 2018

As I am rinsing off my face
tears are floating down the drain,
some may get stuck along the way.

My emotions are comparing to an old sponge
destroyed by germs of all kind,
squeezed hard and tossed aside.

My body feels like a broken device
a corroded battery inside,
why is that?.
The answer is simple.

Wonderfully short, yet full to the brim with emotion. The answer always seems simple, doesn't it? But to do it takes more than words. You are as descriptive as always. Good to see you write. Much love.

Life has an impact. I like the description of washing a face and as the water flows it takes tears along with it. The fact some of these get stuck made me feel those tears were caused by terrible circumstances.

The general feeling of abuse caused by thoughtless people came through. The damage, like a corrosive substance eating away at a body from the inside.

Maybe this is abuse from others, or self abuse?

    Thanks for sharing.

An emotional heart wrenching piece that issues vivid imagery that hits like a sledgehammer full of pain. Well deserved nomination. Sending you warm hugs and love Milly x
