My Chemistry teacher

by Michael   Dec 13, 2018

my eyes are pupils.
that once learned the
vision of you.

absorbing your beauty;
relishing your profile that
built-up in my mind.

I studied your body-
becoming fluent in the language
of your movement, that you
conveyed in a speechless motion,
exploring meanings;
tapping into your intuition.

the figure of your speech;
held the shapes of words, that
pressed love into my heart-
where your voice rolled softly
upon drums

-whispering,
a mix of notions
to my ears.

I was touched-
by your kiss
that melted thoughts,
beneath my breath

each day-
understanding more of you.

until a time came, when
you taught me the toughest lesson
of how life would be.

To revise without you

    Such a delicate touch in this poem, and the intimacy is striking. I really felt the persona’s adoration for this teacher. I still think your titling is a little too telling but maybe that’s your intention. Beautiful, dude.

      Thanks fella, nice words and titles just come without thought some times, but I like your way of thinking :)
