Series

Silence is a killer,
I never knew to speak,
Trapped inside this asylum,
That I never knew was weak,
Hearing all the screaming,
Counting all the cracks,
Wondering if this nightmare,
Was going to lay to rest,

Here comes the moment,
When reality becomes a test,
Touching me was the showing,
That death would represent,
Yet here you are still standing,
Breathing down my neck,
Can you hear my heart beat pounding,
Caused by your presence,

Carry me to safety,
If only it where true,
But truth was that the darkness,
Was embedded inside my noose,
I can not run away from,
The monster I knew to be,
I'll lure you to my castle,
And never let you be,

Cornered in this horror,
Of this faulty fairy tale,
Lives a prince so charming,
So cruel and broken bare,
He holds a house of torture,
Led to lead the clause,
Was meant to reastablish,
Yet fell for the one that caused,

Shatter me to pieces,
Unravel truths from faults,
Ignite my inner demons,
Restore all that's lost...

Got chills reading this. Alternate opinions on fairy tails and love are my favorite.

Thank you very much. I love that you felt the poem. I normally dont write about books that I've read but these series inspired this poem and I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. Like you I love the alternate versions of fairy tales and love.
