Children, Our Blessings (etheree)

by Larry Chamberlin   Apr 15, 2019

The
journey
you would take
may not be where
your steps have started
the way home may get lost
even that sun might forget
to rise up out of the dark night
yet in your worst despair remember
to cherish the map we drew for your heart.

Like the steps of life, this form resembles a staircase, or more apt, a mountain. Nice addition to your 'a poem a day keeps the madness away'
