The woodpecker Pecks

by ddavidd   Apr 23, 2019

knock-knocking
on my wooden door,
the knuckles of
the tick-tocking clock,
on my wall
like a bloom
on the bulk of
the igneous rocks.

Like
a woodpecker pecks
knock-knocking
on my wooden empty head adducing:
you are being mocked
by the
mockingbird flocks of these
ticktock, tick-tocking clocks.
