Lost in Translation

by Mortal Utopia   Jul 6, 2019

When we write a bridge
between our worlds,
it always fades
into the depths
of our translations.
And so we write on,
and read on -
the words and its shadows
weighing on us like memories
lost in its own fragility.

There’s still a veil between us,
but also a path:
laid down by things
to forget and remember
like pages of a diary.
