My yesterday, my life

by Dagmar Wilson   Sep 30, 2019

Fall is moving in
a new season begins,
leaves are changing colors.

Fall saddens my heart
it opens wounds
I stepped on that plane not knowing,
I left home for good.

I am craving the original scent
that smell lingers in my nose,
I keep playing this special old song.
Tears rolling down my face.

Fall is affecting my mood
my joy has died many years ago
if only I could have back what's gone,
my yesterday, my life.

This made me very sad to read, especially the part about not realising when you left that it would be for good. You must yearn terribly for home. Hugs to you :-) x

So much genuine feeling in your words here, Dagmar, as is usual with your work.

    All the best
