Dancing With The Crickets

Bare feet, ripped jeans
a colorful tye dye tee
on the front porch glancing
at the midnight treat

a dark sky is dusted
with tiny twinkling lights
while the moon is full
and shining oh so bright

leaves rustle gently
in the night time breeze
as birds sing softly
from high above the trees

thoughts of you flow through me
as sounds come from the thickets
bringing music to my soul
and dancing with the crickets
