Toxic

by Sunshine   Jul 13, 2020

I set fire to dusk hours.

Clouds of poison
smothered the empty room
with woes.

I lost vision but still
I saw you in the air.

Burning slowly
like tobacco leafs,
parts of me flared to ashes.

Forgetting the toxic bits of you
in grey puffs before every new morning?

Oh the sun
was full of pity.

Pretty lonely. I really like the use of picturing the clouds filling the room and seeing their image painfully. And I just really like the setting of dusk hours! Nice job!
